Kathy had selected some wonderful Yiddish songs to play on the show, like the Andrew Sisters doing Ba Mir Bistu Sheyn and Chiribim, Chiribom as well as Benzin by Max Perlman. These songs can also be heard in the documentary - and Philip insists, totally 'objectively', that these are much better versions!
Thanks to Kathy Kaler and the Chai FM team for this chance to talk about Yiddish song and its powerful universal appeal.
